Privacy Policy: Pour Works: Water Sort

Effective date: 22 October 2026
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Applies to: Pour Works: Water Sort (formerly Water Sort) for Android (com.lelobyte.watersort), version 1.8 and later

Pour Works is published by Altug Ataalp ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play the game, who else is involved, and what you can decide. Questions and privacy requests can be sent by email to ataalpaltug92@gmail.com.

The short version

What stays on your device

The app keeps the information it needs to run the game in Android's private app storage:

Other apps cannot ordinarily read this storage. We do not receive it.

Purchases

The game offers optional in-app purchases: coin bundles, a one-time starter bundle, a double daily reward and the River pass, which opens the River levels after the first 30 of each set and comes with two glasses. They are processed by Google Play Billing.

Google's handling of purchases is covered by the Google Payments privacy notice and Google's privacy policy. Refunds are requested through Google Play. You are welcome to contact us first and we will help where we can.

Google Play Games

Signing in to Google Play Games is optional and the game is complete without it. When you are signed in, the app sends Google Play Games:

This data is held by Google under Google's privacy policy. We do not run a server that receives it. Google Play Console shows us statistics about achievements and the leaderboard entries. Nothing is sent to Play Games while you are not signed in; trophies are then kept only on your device.

Feedback, rating and sharing

Settings → About has three rows that hand you to another app. None of them sends anything by itself.

Once, after at least three levels have been cleared, the app asks Google Play to show its in-app rating sheet as you leave a level. The sheet is Google Play's: the app does not see whether it was shown, what you rated, or what you wrote. The app keeps one yes-or-no note that the request has been made, so that it is not made again.

Analytics and crash reporting

The app contains Firebase Analytics code, but collection is switched off in this release by a setting in the app's Android manifest that the app cannot override. Gameplay event calls are discarded. No Firebase Analytics event, app-instance identifier, advertising identifier, device information or IP-derived location is collected.

For transparency, the discarded calls are named level_start, level_complete, level_fail, river_start, river_complete, river_fail, powerup_prompt_shown, powerup_acquired, checkin_claimed, chapter_complete, ad_shown, ad_reward_earned and iap_purchase. They are designed never to carry a name, exact moves, or anything you type.

There is no crash-reporting service in this release.

Before any release turns analytics on, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety form, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Advertising

This release shows no ads. It contains no advertising SDK and makes no ad requests.

Permissions

The app asks for no permission you have to grant. Android lists these in its install details:

The app does not request location, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera or phone-state access.

Android backup

When Android system backup is on, Android may copy the save to your Google account and restore it on another device. This is controlled by Android and governed by Google's privacy policy. We do not receive the backup. The app limits backup and device transfer to its one save file. Owned purchases restored this way are checked against Google Play again when the app can reach it.

Deletion and reset

"Reset all progress" in Settings clears levels, River results, records, currency, power-ups, cosmetics, trophies and preferences from the save on your device. It keeps your purchases: what you own stays owned, and purchased bundles are not paid out a second time. Reset cannot take back achievements already unlocked in Google Play Games or remove leaderboard scores; those are managed in your Play Games account. It does not erase an Android backup or a cloud save until the next sync replaces it.

Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes the save from your device. Android may restore backed-up data later if system backup stays on, and a cloud save stays in Play Games until you delete it there.

Children

Pour Works asks for no name, email address, photo, birth date or account, shows no ads and collects no analytics. Signing in to Google Play Games and making purchases go through Google, under the family and parental controls Google provides.

Who else receives data

We receive only the emails you choose to send us. Google receives the data described under Purchases, Google Play Games, rating and Android backup, as the provider of those services. We do not sell data or share it with anyone else.

Google may process this data in countries other than your own, under the safeguards described in Google's privacy policy.

How long data is kept

Data on your device stays until you reset it, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup. Data held by Google is kept under Google's policies and your Google account settings. Feedback emails are kept for as long as they are needed to answer you, and then deleted.

Your choices and your rights

You can play without signing in to Play Games or sign out of it, turn Android backup off, reset your progress, and delete the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete data about you. Because we hold no game data about you, the data you can ask us about is usually only an email you sent. Contact us to use any of these rights.

Security

The save is kept in Android's private app storage. Purchases and Play Games data travel to Google over Google's encrypted connections. No storage method is secure against every form of device or operating-system compromise.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy before a release starts analytics, advertising, crash reporting or any other data processing, and the in-app link and the Play listing will point to the policy for the version actually distributed. Older versions are available on request.
