Pour Works: Water Sort
A water sort puzzle that keeps finding new things to do with a glass. 1,170 levels, nine chapters that each add one rule, and a river that will not wait for you.
Free to play. No account. Plays offline. Every level solver-checked.

Pour Works / Campaign and RiverThe rule stays. The glass changes.
Pour one colour onto the same colour. Then meet hidden colours, tall and short glasses, drains, seals, colour keys and pipes: one new idea per chapter, each taught on a small board before it is leaned on.
See all nine rules ↗Three stars is always possible.
A solver works out the shortest solution to every level before it ships. Par is that number, so three stars never ask for the impossible, and a Hint is always a move that still wins.
How stars and par work ↗A second game, in real time.
Glasses drift past on the water and you fill each one before it gets away. 560 river levels on two ladders, one of them asking for layered drinks in a set order.
How the River plays ↗What is Pour Works?
Pour Works: Water Sort is a free water sort puzzle game for Android, the kind also called a colour sort or liquid sort puzzle. You pour coloured liquid between glasses until every glass holds a single colour. It has 1,170 campaign levels in nine chapters, 22 challenge boards, a real-time River mode with 560 levels and a daily challenge, and every level is checked by a solver before it ships.
Most water sort games add colours and stop there. Pour Works changes the glass. Each chapter brings one new rule: colours you cannot see until you uncover them, glasses of two sizes on one board, drains that never give liquid back, glasses sealed until a pour count or until a named colour is finished, boards of up to twenty-four glasses, a hard limit on moves, and pipes that pour out from the bottom.
It is also built to be comfortable. Numbers and patterns on the liquids mean colour is never required, the campaign has no clock, a board left half-finished is saved as it stands, and the game is in eleven languages. Formerly published as Water Sort.

The first page offers numbers and patterns on the colours and reduced motion. Then a five-pour practice teaches the pour, Hint and Undo. All of it can be skipped. First-start guide.
Tap a glass, then where to pour.
Liquid goes onto the same colour or into an empty glass. Any solution clears a level; the shortest one earns three stars. Stars and par.
Leave whenever you like.
The board is saved as it stands, and Continue picks it up. When you want a change of pace, River and the daily star are on Home. The daily challenge.
Frequently asked questions
More questions in the guide ↗What is Pour Works?
Pour Works: Water Sort is a free water sort puzzle game for Android. You pour coloured liquid between glasses until every glass holds one colour. It has 1,170 campaign levels in nine chapters, 22 challenge boards, a real-time River mode with 560 levels and a daily challenge.
Is Pour Works free? Are there in-app purchases?

How many levels does Pour Works have?
More than 1,750: 1,170 campaign levels across nine chapters, 22 challenge boards and 560 River levels on two ladders, plus a new daily board every day.
See how the campaign is laid out.
What makes it different from other water sort games?
Each of its nine chapters adds a new rule instead of only adding colours: hidden colours, glasses of two sizes, one-way drains and spouts, glasses sealed until a pour count, big boards of up to twenty-four glasses, move limits, colour keys and pipes that pour from the bottom. Every level is verified by a solver, and there is a second, real-time mode called the River.
See the nine rules.
Can every level be solved?
Yes. Levels are generated and then checked by a solver, and a level ships only if the solver has solved it. Levels with hidden colours pass a second test so that they can be won without guessing.
How do the stars work? Is three stars always possible?
Three stars means you matched par, the fewest pours the level can be solved in. Par is the shortest solution a solver found for that exact board, so three stars is always possible. Finishing within three pours of par is two stars, and any solution clears the level.
Read about stars and par.
Is there a time limit?
Not in the campaign. You can think about a pour for as long as you like, and the chapter with a move limit counts pours, not seconds. Only River mode runs in real time.
What is River mode?
A real-time way to play. Part-filled glasses drift past on a river, and you fill each one from your own glasses before it gets away. A missed glass comes round again, but each miss costs a star and the third ends the run. There are 560 River levels on two ladders, and on the Drinks ladder a glass can ask for layers of colour in a set order.
Read about the River.
Does Pour Works work offline?
Yes. Every level, including the daily challenge, is stored in the game, so it plays without an internet connection. A connection is needed only for the store and for cloud save.
Can I play if I find colours hard to tell apart?
Yes. Liquid labels puts a number on every colour and Liquid textures gives every colour its own pattern. Both are offered on the first page of the game and are in Settings afterwards. There is also a reduced-motion setting, and the board is described glass by glass to screen readers.
Read about accessibility.
What do I do when I am stuck?
Undo takes back a pour, Hint lights up a move that still wins, Extra Glass adds a spare, and Restart is always free. There are eight power-ups in all, earned from the daily challenge and level-ups or bought with coins.
See all eight tools.
Is my progress saved? Can I move it to a new phone?
Progress is saved on your phone as you play, including a board left half-finished. If you sign in to Play Games under Settings → Cloud save, your progress, coins and purchases are kept with your Play Games account and come back on a new phone.
Read about progress and cloud save.
Which languages and Android versions are supported?
Pour Works runs on Android 8.0 or later. It is in eleven languages: English, German, Spanish, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese for Brazil and for Portugal, Japanese and Korean. You choose the language inside the game.
Is Pour Works the same game as Water Sort?
Yes. The game was first published as Water Sort and is now called Pour Works: Water Sort. It is the same app, and your progress carries over.
